Bait Sheikh Saeed bin Hamad Al Qasimi Museum is honoured to display for the first time a selection of rare letters exchanged between Sheikh Saeed bin Hamad Al Qasimi, his family, friends, and acquaintances.

In the absence of a postal system, these handwritten letters delivered by messengers were the prevalent method of communication at the time.

These letters, written by both men and women, follow social and cultural norms of politeness, tact, and care for others and provide us with some insight into everyday issues.

For preservation purposes, the letters displayed are copies of the original letters.
