Mini-Jazri Boot Camp

Gear up for an 8-day engineering adventure! In this intensive bootcamp, students will design, build, and programme their very own functional 4WD robot—complete with a custom 3D-designed and printed robotic arm. From concept to creation, participants will experience the full product development journey: CAD modelling, mechanical assembly, circuit building, electronics integration, and final programming. It’s a fast-paced, hands-on challenge designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and real engineering skills.
Session Details
Day 1: Introduction to Robotics & Electronics
Build a simple circuit, explore robotics fundamentals, and watch the 4WD chassis in action.
Day 2: Building & Testing the 4WD Chassis
Assemble the chassis and programme basic movements using the L2D motor driver.
Day 3: Environmental Sensing & Autonomous Navigation
Integrate the ultrasonic sensor and programme the robot to navigate independently.
Day 4: CAD & 3D Modelling — Robot Arm Design
Dive into a CAD masterclass and design the arm’s linkages, joints, and gripper.
Day 5: 3D Printing & Chassis Assembly
Begin printing arm components and complete the mechanical assembly of the 4WD chassis.
Day 6: Prototype Assembly & Servo Integration
Retrieve printed parts, assemble the robot arm, mount servo motors, and test movement.
Day 7: Final Assembly & FSM Programming
Mount the robotic arm on the chassis, wire all components, and programme the robot’s “brain” using FSMs.
Day 8: Final Challenge & Project Showcase
Put the robot to the test in a challenge arena, fix remaining issues, and present the completed creation.
