Celebrate the Mid-Sha’ban event in a traditional atmosphere on Saturday, 26 March 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Hisn Khor Fakkan’s outdoor courtyard

To revive the social traditions of our ancestors, Hisn Khor Fakkan is organising an event on the occasion of Mid Sha’ban (a tradition celebrated on the 15th of Sha’ban, the Month before Ramadan), on 26 March 2022 at 6:00 pm in the museum’s outdoor courtyard. The event’s programmes include storytelling and the mesaharati – the person who walks around houses and beats his drum to wake people for their suhour – a meal eaten before the beginning of the fast. The event also includes giving out Mid-Sha’ban sweets, traditional games, family workshops, narrating traditional proverbs, a photography studio and traditional food trucks, all in accordance with the applied precautionary and preventive measures at Sharjah Museums.
