The Sharjah Calligraphy Biennial, a cultural event under the patronage of Sharjah’s Supreme Council Member and Ruler, will honor three pioneers in Arabic calligraphy: Emirati calligrapher Khalid Ali Al Jalaf, Iraqi researcher Idham Khalid Hanish, and Spanish historian José Miguel Poyatos. The biennial will feature solo exhibitions at the Calligraphy Square in Sharjah, with the works of the honorees continuing to be displayed to the public throughout the duration.
