Learn about and explore the art of ornamintation in The Art of Colorful Hilkar workshop with artist ALI AL HAMADEY on September5-8, 2022, from5:00p.m. to7:00 p.m.

Sharjah Calligraphy Museum is hosting a workshop titled “The Art of Colorful Hilkar”. This art is regarded as one of the most important decorative methods, having been widely used in the modern era, particularly in the Middle East between Turkey, Iran, and India. The word “Hilkar” means the craft of shading with gold water, and this method was widely used in the gilding of the Qur’an, and it comes in a variety of styles. Participants in this workshop, led by the artist ALI AL HAMADEY, will learn the foundations and rules of the Hilkar art on September5-8 , 2022, at5:00 p .m.
