Sharjah Calligraphy Museum is presenting a seminar under the title “The Elements of Calligraphy Artworks”, presented by calligrapher fatmah salmein on Tuesday, 17 May 2022, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The seminar will cover the elements of a calligraphy artwork, selecting the calligraphy phrase and script, developing the style and design, creating the calligraphy mould and paper as well as the finishing touches. The goal of the seminar is to introduce the participants to the history of Arabic calligraphy, its evolution, the steps for preparing the artwork and the different tools and methods used in calligraphy.
